ABS/LBS operating key

Also known as an Air Break Switch or Load Break Switch operating key.

Load break switches are installed at the very top of the power pole, and can be difficult to access. In many cases, an operator box is installed in the middle of the pole, which is much easier to reach.

The operating key has a universal ‘sunrise’ attachment for hot sticks, giving workers access from the ground level. The operating key unlocks and re-secures the mid-pole operator box when the ABS or LBS needs to be engaged or disengaged.
